Going Within
Going Within
New day. New month. So many things. Too many things. There’s still time to hibernate like our nature friends and rest up for the blossoming of Spring. Best advice I’ve received this new year: skip the resolutions and embrace winter’s quiet. Heal first.
Prompt #1: If you were to hibernate, what would that look like for you?
Prompt #2: What does healing look like for you?
Prompt #3: Explore your feelings around taking time for yourself. We all know to put on our oxygen mask first, but how many of us actually do? Do you?

Journal Response: Prompt #1
If I were to hibernate— Just thinking about self-hibernation makes my heart lighter. My body relaxes. I image cuddling up in a small room, full of pillows and fuzzy, weighted blankets. This room is dark and cool. This room is locked.
Outside this room, there is no where to go. Nothing to miss. No one needs me because everyone is hibernating.
My body can now heal. Cells rejuvenate. Heart rate slows. My mind lets go, allowing me to explore the beyond. Reaching out for bigger truths than today can hold.
And when Spring emerges with pale green light before the pop of pinks and purples, I will be ready. Strong. Rested. Ready.
